StoryLine
Kaiju No. 8 is a manga and TV series about a man named Kafka Hibino who works for a cleaning company that specializes in cleaning up after kaiju battles. Kafka's life changes when he becomes a hybrid monster after a small, parasitic creature enters his body through his mouth. In his kaiju form, Kafka has superhuman strength, speed, durability, regeneration, and the ability to detect other kaiju. The Defense Force dubs him "Kaiju No. 8" after he escapes from them. Kafka remains fully conscious while in his kaiju form and aims to fulfill his lifelong dream of joining the Defense Force to fight alongside his childhood friend Mina Ashiro.
